1% for the Planet

The best adventures leave us changed. They deepen our connection to the places we love and remind us that they're worth protecting long after we've returned home. That's why, at Omawild, our journey doesn't end when the trip is over.

As members of 1% for the Planet, we donate at least 1% of total annual revenue to environmental organizations working to restore ecosystems, protect biodiversity, and support communities on the frontlines of environmental stewardship.

When you choose Omawild, you're protecting the places that make your greatest adventures possible.

How it works:

1. Commitment. Omawild pledges at least 1% of annual sales to environmental organizations through the 1% for the Planet network.
2. Giving. Our contributions support approved Environmental Partners working to protect and restore the natural world. The majority of our contribution is made through direct financial support. Additional impact may include product donations or volunteer hours when they create meaningful impact.
3. Verified impact. 1% for the Planet independently reviews and certifies member contributions each year to ensure commitments are fulfilled and properly documented.
4. Transparency. After annual certification, we'll publish an impact report outlining our total annual contributions, environmental partners supported, cash grants provided, along with in-kind donations, and total volunteer hours contributed.

Environmental Partners within the 1% for the Planet network are tackling some of the most pressing environmental challenges across four key areas:

1. Rights to Nature: Protecting ecosystems, biodiversity, and the natural systems that sustain life.
2. Conservation & Restoration: Restoring forests, rivers, reefs, soils, and landscapes that have been degraded over time.
3. Resilient Communities: Supporting communities adapting to environmental challenges while strengthening local stewardship.
4. Just Economies: Advancing sustainable livelihoods that create long-term benefits for both our people and planet.

As Omawild grows, so will our ability to support the people and organisations working to protect the places that sustain life on this planet.

Beyond 1%

Giving matters, and so do the choices behind every ingredient. We partner with producers who share our commitment to organic, regenerative, and environmentally responsible farming practices because a healthy diet is inseparable from a healthy planet. Every ingredient we introduce into the pantry is another opportunity to support the ecosystems that sustain us all.

Our Collective Impact

Our first fiscal year ends on December 31, 2027. After completing our annual audit and 1% for the Planet contribution verification process, we'll publish here our first impact report for everyone to see. Stay tuned because we're just getting started.
